Who is Social South?
The organizing committee for Social South is comprised of marketing professionals located throughout the Southeast U.S. The organization is led by Scott Schablow, Chief Strategic Officer, Provenance Digital Media. Scott picked up the gauntlet thrown last year by Ike Pigott, along with several other marketers who saw a need for a regional social media conference. Time ran short and it was decided to stage the conference in 2009. This year the conference is shaping up to be a world-class event.
The conference has two main goals:
1) To create a forum where the future of online media and advertising is discussed and how the tools involved in social media are changing that landscape.
2) To showcase the nation’s most talented social media minds with Birmingham and the South East as the backdrop.
Produced in conjunction with Internet Professionals Society of Alabama and Social Media Club Birmingham.
